Connecting with God Through Nature | Tea Time with Amber [Episode 3]

Nature has a way of grounding us, and bringing us back to the present and our focus back on our Creator. It displays His glory!

For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see His invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.

Romans 1:20, NLT

What a powerful reminder that when we take the time to connect with nature, we’re not just enjoying the beauty around us—we can draw closer to our Creator and know Him more intimately!

Nature is one way that God reveals Himself to all of us—not just grandly, but personally. For me, spending time in nature is becoming more and more of an essential part of my slow and simple living journey. I am often reminded of His unfathomable love for me through nature. I go outside multiple times every day to let Bear out or toss the ball to him in our backyard, which is backed by a majestic forest. Whilst in our backyard, I notice anything from butterflies floating delicately on the wind and hoards of dragonflies with their bronze bodies glinting magically in the sunlight, to vibrant red cardinals and graceful wildflowers, to light filtering through the leaves of the trees in the forest.

These moments in nature cause me to slow down, appreciate the beauty in simplicity, and find peace in the present moment. It fills my heart with contentment, serenity, and praise to my Heavenly Father, because certain natural elements such as these have special significance to me and thereby remind me of His greatness and His loving care for every detail of my life.
